Offer Description
We offer 6 fully funded positions at different education levels. PhD students will join the “Cellular Basis of Disease” (CBD) at the Medical University of Innsbruck (https://phd-cbdiseases.i-med.ac.at/) or the “Aging and Regeneration” PhD Program at the University of Innsbruck (https://www.uibk.ac.at/projects/dp-age-reg/).Innsbruck is a vibrant student town that offers the perfect fusion of high-quality academic training with a unique surrounding for people interested in out-door action at your doorstep.

Your Profile:
- PhD applicants must have an MD or MSc in Life Sciences, Physics or Computer Sciences
- The Postdoc applicant must have a PhD in a relevant area and a documented publication record
- Fluency in English (oral and writing)
- Keen to explore the unknown, motivated/enthusiastic team player, able to start in 2023

Project Organelle proteostasis in cellular quiescence andgrowth
- PhD position: Regulation of ER-Proteostasis by cell growth and mechanobiology (Hesso Farhan)
- PhD or Postdoc position: How lysosomes affect organelle proteostasis and cell growth (Lukas A. Huber)
- PhD position: KICSTOR in ER-lysosome crosstalk during cell growth (Mariana Araujo)
- PhD position: How mTOR regulators control the ER-lysosome crosstalk and cell growth (Kathrin Thedieck)
- PhD position: Differential control of sphingolipid homeostasis by ORMDL family proteins (Oliver Schmidt)
- PhD or Postdoc position: Amino acid transporters in cell growth and quiescence (David Teis).
