Great turnout at last night’s Scientific CV Writing lecture: More than 70 people listened to Graham Tebb offering his insight on how to create, structure and style a CV that might raise chances when applying for a scientific position. In addition to the usual basics (be concise; avoid clutter; be honest) he stressed the importance of so-called acquired "soft skills", meaning things like language skills, programme management skills, communication and preparation skills and the like.
Graham Tebb, molecular biologist at the University of Veterinary Medicine, has been working in Academia for decades and has many years of experience in the field of science administration. He also works as a consultant for several universities and non-university organizations in Austria and regularly offers training courses on a range of soft skills.
