Careers in the Life Sciences

On 23 November a matchmaking event for the region Vienna - Bratislava will be organised for PhD students to meet with companies in the field of life sciences.

The event is part of the Austrian-Slovak project CarLiS - Careers in Life Sciences, a cooperation between the University of Vienna, the Slovak Academy of Sciences as well as the Technical University of Bratislava and the Comenius University Bratislava.

Who will participate:

• at least 20 companies from life science sector in region of Bratislava and Vienna
• at least 50 early career researchers, highly qualified PhD students
• university partners‘ experts specializing in networking between private sector and academia
• other stakeholders (associations, initiatives, regional authorities,
• R&I funding organisations)

Structure of the event:

• career fair: possibility to set up the career fair tables and present activities
• one-to-one-meetings: opportunity to discuss collaborations in detail
• informal networking: the official part of the event will be followed by an informal get-together

• official registration will open in September 2022
• participation is free of charge
