Description

Malmö University

Malmö University is an innovative, urban and international higher education institution located in the city centre of Malmö. The University was founded as a university college in 1998 and gained full university status in 2018. We have around 1,800 employees and 24,000 students.

Our research and education contribute to long-term sustainable development through scientific knowledge, critical reflection and action. Global engagement and diversity have always been our core values, and we encourage international collaboration to maintain the high standard of our education, research and overall activities. We foster our international collaboration by working closely with academic partner institutes, networks and cooperation programmes around the globe. We also enable and encourage our staff and students to engage in international activities on campus.

Malmö University has five research centres, which span fields in life sciences, humanities, health, and technology. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research, they maintain a keen focus on collaboration. The research is carried out alongside other academic institutions, the public and private sectors, and non-governmental organisations.
