The University of Vienna and Medical University of Graz are among the top 200 for the first time.
In the annual "Times Higher Education Ranking", the University of Vienna climbed 27 positions to 137th place among the best universities worldwide. The Medical University of Graz made it into the top 200 for the first time at 196th place.
1,662 universities from 99 countries and regions were assessed on the basis of 13 categories from the areas of science, teaching, citations, internationalisation and economic third-party funding.
