EURAXESS Austria invites PhD students and post docs to a training on Scientific CV Writing which will take place on Thu, 25 January 2018, 5 - 6 pm, at the OeAD, Ebendorferstraße 7, 1010 Vienna. The training is offered in English language and free of charge.
Contents:
Applicants for post-doctoral or higher positions are invariably asked to submit a scientific cv. The course will discuss what this is and how you can go about preparing one. It will be illustrated with practical examples and will contain a few helpful tips and tricks.
Trainer: Dr. Graham Tebb
Graham Tebb studied Biochemistry at the University of Oxford and Molecular Biology at the EMBL in Heidelberg before a spell of post-doctoral research at the IMP in Vienna. He left the bench to take up a position at "Nature" in London but decided he preferred life in Austria so returned to Vienna, where he was employed at the United Nations and the Austrian Science Fund before crossing the Danube to join the University of Veterinary Medicine. He also works as a consultant for several universities and non-university organizations in Austria and regularly offers training courses on a range of soft skills.
