About
„Publish or Perish“ has been the mantra in academia over the past years. Academic careers increasingly depend on the list of publications. Without publications in renowned international peer-reviewed journals it is increasingly difficult to start a successful university career. More and more ‘predatory journals’ aggressively promote their ‘services’, sometimes deceiving even experienced academics.
Together with Dr. Leonhard Suchenwirth from the University of Technology Vienna (TU Wien) we will discuss the phenomenon of predatory journals and how to avoid the pitfalls of academic publishing.
After the talk there will be time for questions & discussion and informal chat. This online talk is organised by OeAD events4scholars.
