Join us for a guided tour at the Natural History Museum of Vienna & walk on the roof of the museum on Friday, January 31!

Opened in 1889, the Natural History Museum Vienna is one of the most important natural science museums in the world. It is home of 30 million collection items and is home to world-famous and unique objects, including the world's largest and oldest public collection of meteroites. The highlights of the tour include some of the most famous objects, such as the Venus of Willendorf, Maria Theresia's gemstone flower bouquet, the Tissint Martian meteorite, the dinosaur hall, and the extinct Dodo and Tasmanian tiger. We will end the tour on the roof of the museum and be provided with a spectacular view of the Ringstrasse and the inner city.

After the tour we will have time to network and you will be invited for a drink by us. All participants can explore the museum by themselves until 18:30.

 

Meeting time and registration: 14:40 – 15:00

Meeting point: in front of the Museum, main entrance

Please arrive on time - we will need some time to check-in incl. cloakroom!

Registration fee: EUR 5.00

 

Please register above (yellow button) as soon as possible! Kindly note that the number of participants is limited. First come, first serve.This event is organised in cooperation with OeAD events4scholars.

 

Photographs will be taken and used for publication on OeAD/EURAXESS websites and social media channels (Facebook) as well as printed materials and power point presentations for the purpose of reporting and documentation.
