copyright_khm-museumsverband

The former Museum of Ethnology recently underwent a redesign of the permanent collection and public areas and was reopened last October. Join us for a guided tour of the museum on Friday, March 16 at 3 pm or just for networking and fun at 5 pm at the COOK café & bistro.

Registrations are possible until March 13, but slots for the tours are limited, so please register as soon as possible!

Meeting point: Entrance hall of the museum

Be aware that the tour will begin at 3 pm sharp, so be there on time!

The Museum

Visitors will be taken on a 90-minute tour of global cultural heritage: The Weltmuseum Wien houses comprehensive collections of ethnographic objects, historical photographs, and books on non-European civilizations, making it one of the leading ethnographic museums in the world.

Cost: 5 €!

Kids programme

Do you have kids aged 7-12? The museum offers special entertainment for children called KaleidosKids that includes short guided tours of the collection, hands-on exhibits, and try-out techniques. KaleidosKids starts at 3:30 pm.

Cost: For free!

Networking: 5 pm

We’ll meet at the COOK café & bistro inside the Weltmuseum Wien at 5 pm. The café is accessible for non-visitors of the museum as well – feel free to join us for an after-work drink on a Friday night. COOK closes at 9 pm.
